Village of West Carthage
Located in Northern New York on the banks of the Black River, the Village of West Carthage was incorporated in 1889. Originally a paper mill village, we are now home to a variety of enterprises including retail stores, manufacturing, tourism and many small businesses. The nearby Fort Drum military installation contributes a great deal to the local economy and the village boasts a healthy real estate market. The Thousand Island Region of New York State is minutes away and we are a short drive to the Adirondack Park. The nearest city is Watertown which is also experiencing a sharp increase in population as well as a booming retail market.
The Village of West Carthage retains its small village appeal while welcoming and encouraging economic growth. Please stop in and see us!
